Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software solutions that enhance development and delivery efficiency utilizing CloudBees products.
• Contribute to the expansion of the CloudBees suite through the development of tools, plugins, and integrations.
• Ensure software reliability by implementing automated testing and maintaining stringent code quality.
• Regularly participate in the creation and review of unit tests and integration tests.
• Address and resolve complex technical challenges throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation including design specifications and user guides.
• Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration within internal and external technical communities.
• Engage in Agile methodologies to optimize project execution and team communication.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure cohesive project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Experience in Java/Python; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting with Shell Script, Perl, or Groovy and experience with GitHub.
• Knowledgeable in application server management (JBoss) and project management tools (Jira).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Zookeeper and Helm, as well as Maven and Jenkins for build automation.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, DevOps principles, and container technologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD systems, testing tools, code quality tools, and other development aids.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with strong communication skills.
• Proficient in HTTP, REST, HTML, and JSON, with experience in constructing complex multi-tier distributed systems.
• Driven, self-motivated individual able to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, comfortable interacting with support, customers, and the community.
