Role Responsibilities

• Conduct initial smoke testing to verify the functionality of critical software components following updates.
• Develop test scripts in Java, utilizing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG for execution.
• Identify and diagnose functional discrepancies in software, tracing back to the root cause.
• Maintain and organize test scripts, adhering to high standards of coding and best practices.
• Document test execution processes, including data dumps and logs, for a detailed analysis of outcomes and anomalies.

Essential Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and designs.
• Ability to create detailed test plans and cases derived from project documentation.
• Proficiency in Selenium or similar automation testing frameworks for web application assessments.
• Familiarity with web APIs and their integration into software testing strategies.
• Strengthened abilities in programming languages relevant to automation testing, such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Keen analytical and problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting and solution proposal.
• Effective communication skills for the articulation of test strategies, outcomes, and defects.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing procedures, including execution, documentation, and defect reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in JAVA and SQL
• Certifications in testing, like ISTQB
